The Gutenberg Vault publishes complete, unabridged recordings of public-domain classics, with a short original guide for each. It is published by Aevum Media.

What we make

Each edition is the full text of a public-domain translation from Project Gutenberg, read by Ambrose, our AI narrator, and checked against the text line by line, with period art matched to the book. We publish the full recording on YouTube and, chapter by chapter, as a podcast. We don't publish abridgments or summaries in place of the book.

The guides on this site are written by us. Quotations are copied exactly from the Project Gutenberg edition named on each page; if you find an error, tell us and we'll fix it.

Our publishing tool

We use a private publishing tool that only we operate. It uploads our own finished videos with their captions, titles and descriptions, schedules them, gathers viewer comments on our own channels so we can review and approve each reply, and reads our own channels' statistics. It acts only on channels we own, signed in with our own Google account, and is not offered to anyone else. It uses YouTube API Services; see the Privacy Policy and Terms.
