How each edition is made
We start from the Project Gutenberg text of a public-domain translation and read every word of it: no abridgment, no modern paraphrase. Ambrose, our AI narrator, reads it, and we check the narration against the text line by line. Each book gets its own period art, drawn from the painting traditions of the time and place it was written.
On each book's page you'll find the full recording, timestamps for every chapter, and a short guide: the main themes and the most-quoted lines, quoted exactly and explained in plain English.
